Fall 2024 Hunting Season Closures

Reminder, Big Game firearms hunting season in the southern zone of New York State starts on Saturday, November 16. Hickory Ridge Nature Preserve and Letchworth State Park trails are closed to bike riding during hunting season.

While you can mountain bike at Harriet Hollister Spencer Park and Stid Hill WMA during hunting season, be aware that deer hunting is permitted, so you should exercise extra caution, wear bright orange clothing and limit riding to mid-day hours. There are better places to ride this time of year!
